“Tse ne tilky pro muzyku”
(It’s not just about music)
“Tse ne tilky pro muzyku” is a project aimed at developing audiences for non-mainstream Ukrainian music, as well as strengthening the potential of organizers and musicians working in this niche. In cooperation with Insha Osvita and with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Fund, we held three online events for music managers, an information campaign, two online concerts and four artist talks.
“Tse ne tilky pro muzyku” is a project aimed at developing audiences for non-mainstream Ukrainian music, as well as strengthening the potential of organizers and musicians working in this niche. In cooperation with Insha Osvita and with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Fund, we held three online events for music managers, an information campaign, two online concerts and four artist talks.
A lot of useful content was created within the project:
• for listeners: four performances on the balcony of the Ivano-Frankivsk Drama Theater (shorturl.at/bvxzJ) and five performances in the “underground” of the Kyiv club 2c1b (shorturl.at/eyKQ9). Among them: a highly awaited appearance of Ukrainian underground of the 90s legends Ihor Tsymbrovsky and Svitlana Nyannyo after a long-term break. And also – the first Ukrainian performance of German musician of Ukrainian origin Masha Kashina and the Kyiv performance of the Kalush punk band FRG.
• for everyone who enjoys not only to music, but all about music as well: four artist talks with musicians who performed in the project ( shorturl.at/vEQTV ).
for music events organizers: four checklists on environmental footprint, gender and fire safety, as well as first aid (shorturl.at/vEQTV).

When choosing a playlist for the evening, it is not only about music. When going to a live concert or watching it online, it’s not just about music. When wearing a t-shirt with the band name, it’s not just about the music. When not doing any of that, it’s also not just about and not just because of the music.
