PORTO FRANKO 2018 was an international festival in Ivano-Frankivsk, which combined electronic music, modern choreography, post-dramatic theater and actual visual art with high technologies, science, dreams of the high sky and the society of the future.
PORTO FRANKO 2018 was an international festival in Ivano-Frankivsk, which combined electronic music, modern choreography, post-dramatic theater and actual visual art with high technologies, science, dreams of the high sky and the society of the future.
In 2018, we became partners of the Porto Franko festival and provided organizational support for the electronic music direction as well as the direction of Poesophony. We also organized a joint performance by Gast Waltzig with the National Presidential Orchestra and the Austrian performance "Oh Magic".
The problems of modern anthropology and daily life rituals unfolded in a unique ballet of dancers and robots: "Oh, Magic" by the outstanding Austrian choreographer Simon Mayer. The festival presented cult performances from contemporary European directors — "The Book of Job" by Eimuntas Nyakrosius and "The Seagull" by Oskaras Korshunovas.

PORTO FRANKO became the terminal of international artistic communication. The historical center of Ivano-Frankivsk — the city hall, the Potocki Palace, Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater — is a kind of runway for festival projects. Other unique locations of the festival: Ivano-Frankivsk International Airport, railway station, Promprylad plant.
At the center of the festival are a number of multi-genre performances. An aerodynamic installation, live electronics and modern poetry were embodied in the "take-off" show opening: for the first time, music and the light show were combined with the sound of aircraft engines and the voices of airport controllers from around the world.
At the same time, PORTO FRANKO 2018 included a concert program dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the innovator of modern music, the leader of the musical avant-garde, Karlheinz Stockhausen: American-Belgian trombonist Thomas de Moor, Hungarian percussionist László Hudacek, and German-Hungarian singer and performer Yulia Mihaly performed in honour of great musician.
